What the heck is a business advisor?  Guest Blog From Paul Falewicz of Succentrix Business Advisors

My definition of a business advisor is someone who you can reach out to help answer a difficult question. Owning a business is tough and you don't have all of the answers. I don't have all of the answers either but when we talk, we are able to collaborate to find the answer.

Good business advisors are accessible and understand the flow of the business world. I can be reached when you have a question or will return your call quickly.  Others in the industry may not return the call until the opportunity has passed.

Business always moves quickly and you need someone who moves at that speed.  You don't need someone who takes their time or may not provide a clear direction for your question.

If the past year has taught us anything, it is that you need to be agile and ready to change things very quickly.  If you are left behind, you will struggle and your business will never be at the forefront of anyone's mind.

A good business advisor helps to build a partnership with the business owner. They might not always agree but they respect each other. They are open and honest and the goal is to help guide the business owner through the crazy world of business.
