Job Description – Operations Associate – Financial Services
Cantella & Co., Inc., located in Boston’s financial district, is the home office of a rapidly-growing independent broker/dealer. We plan to double in size in the next five years and need talented, capable, career-oriented people to achieve this goal. We have an immediate opening for an Operations Associate who can “hit the ground running”. The successful candidate must be self-motivated, hard-working, and have a strong desire to be an integral part of a winning team. We seek overachievers who thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and fun environment! We want people who are energetic, articulate, bright, proactive, and motivated to get the job done and get it done right the first time!
Most companies look for goal-oriented team players who are strong, but flexible, creative, but practical. Cantella & Co., Inc. is no exception. We are demanding of our employees, so we want people who are demanding of themselves. Our perfect candidate is someone who excels at their defined position, yet can step in and take on completely different responsibilities with equal competence, someone that can get things done quickly, accurately, effectively, and with the big picture in mind.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Opening of new accounts, account maintenance, address changes, asset movement, check deposit, stock deposit
- Scanning customer account paperwork into our document management system and ensuring all required paperwork is on file
- Reviewing missing, incomplete, or rejected paperwork with representatives by phone, e-mail, fax, and mail
- Constant communication with our financial advisors and clients
- Researching and resolving customer issues
- Working on special projects as needed
No experience in the industry is needed - only a desire to learn from the ground up. As you master your initial responsibilities, there are always opportunities to take on additional projects. This is an opportunity to break into the industry and get experience in many aspects of a back office. We encourage you to take the Series 7 exam (and any other exam you may want to take) and will sponsor and pay for it.
