Spectre & Meltdown: What You Need to Know
There has been recent chatter in tech circles about a potential memory-access flaw being called Spectre and Meltdown, which can affect any computer system from 1995 to present. These vulnerabilities could potentially allow hackers to access passwords, encryption keys, and other sensitive data stored on your devices.
This exists due to a flaw in how modern operating systems and processors work together, and this could allow unauthorized processes to read the contents of operating system virtual memory. In order to address this issue, Windows, Linux and MacOS will be creating patches.
