Kevin Willett agrees that a little effort goes a long way
The hardest part of being an entrepreneur is the freedom to do whatever you want, whenever you want. You need to remember that with freedom comes responsibility. You need to be disciplined to be successful.
Do you have goals for 2019? Did you write them down and keep them where you can see them? I know for 2018 I did a horrible job tracking my goals. I did take the time to write them down and then I never looked at them until the end of the year. Surprisingly, by pure luck, I did achieve a few of them.
Yesterday afternoon I was super cranky because I did not hit my goals for the month. When this happens, you need to pause and analyze why it happened, so that you can adjust your plan to grow your business. In some cases, you may not have hit your goals because you simply did not put in the work, and in other cases sometimes things happen that are beyond your control. You simply must analyze the situation, learn from it and move on. Same rules apply when you have a great month, analyze the situation, learn from it and move on. Do not let one bad month derail your business. You need to stay focused and work towards your goals.
Kevin Willett knows that sometimes it is hard, be we need to let go in order to move forward
Last week I was speaking to one of my friends and he told me that one of the struggles he has, as a small business owner, is staying motivated and doing the daily marketing tasks that he knows he has to do to be successful.
I think most people can relate to this comment. Often I see my friends get discouraged because their marketing efforts are not producing the results that they want, so they give up. In other cases their efforts are working and they become busy, so they stop marketing themselves and then of course their business slows down.
