Business Networking Event - How Early Is Too Early

I had a breakfast meeting the other day at 6:30am. That is really early for most folks. Me, I get out of bed at 4:00am every day, so not a big deal. That is when my Friend wanted to meet to discuss business, so I accommodated. One of the challenges I see with business owners is that they are not willing to change up their schedules or be flexible. I host morning networking events that start at 8:00am. Some people won’t come because they think that is too early. 8:30 or 9:00am would be better for them. Seriously? When I counter with the nighttime events from 6:00pm to 8:00pm, that is too late. They like to be home at night and chill in front of the TV. Huh?

Dealing with some businesses lately the topic of conversation is about not reaching their goals. They are wondering why. Well, not putting in the correct effort is part of the problem. If you are not willing to get out of bed a little earlier or stay out one night a month a little later, that could be your issue. You have to put in the effort! If you are not reaching your goals, ask yourself why. You might have to give something up (sleep, reality tv) in order to make it. Think of the connections you can make, the business you can grow and stop wondering why. Start making it happen!
